hi sandro,
maybe you overlooked this
by marcuspocus in CW Forum:
ACPI stands for 'Advanced Computer Power Interface' ... ... The ACPI directly cause the 'copy protection' thing. When you start installation of W2K or XP, just when you boot from CD at the very begening of the installation, it show on the bottom of the screen 'F6 - install other SCSI device', this is WHEN you hit F5 or F7 or F8, (i just never remember which one, so i hit them all!), then it will bring you to a new screen asking you about PC type. It's there that you chose Standard PC instead of ACPI PC.
The big difference, is that using ACPI, it will put ALL your devices on the same IRQ9. Using standard PC, your devices will each have their own IRQ.... That why!

enable nt apm/legacy support...
is it everything ok here? do i need all this drivers?

When I installed the standard PC driver in winXP (it IS certified), I could not boot into windows anymore - not even in failsafe mode.

I can't help your exact problem, but I feel your anger and madness ! I've had all sorts of technical problems (like everyone) and sometimes I think "I've tried everything".
My girlfriend several times has said "forget it, come for a walk". Or to sleep on it.
This is my suggestion. Leave it day. Let your brain bubble away by itself while you unwind. Often a solution then comes fast, something you hadn't thought of before.
So get out. Relax for a day. Think of something else. Then maybe the answer will come. Let your subconscious do some work !
OK, you may laugh, but seriously, this has worked for me many times....
