a friend of mine was interested to buy the dspdev multiband compressor and asked me to check the thing out. so we downloaded the demo version and installed the dsp lib and the demo mdl (pulsar mac version). my first test was to set the thing in neutral position (all levels set to 0 db as well as threshold, ratio 1:1 etc.) and to push the bypass. my first impression was, that the mid signal was gone (the sound went far left and right) and the frequency spectrum of the material changed. this made me think of a big phase problem. so we inserted an phasemeter and my suspect became true. the thing alternates the phase!!!!
so my questions are:
has anybody buyed it and if yes, does it the same to you???????
I use multicomp. I remember it had phase problems a while back, but it should be fixed in 1.6. Dunno about the demo version tho. Maybe you should contact Nikko (the maker) about this.
