Hello everybody,

I haven't found an article or case where the system doesn't restart at all after having disabled ACPI in BIOS - mine does (not) anyway, I swear.

It's not an urgent one - Pulsar works fine on my VIA761 board under XP. (Although I do have some burbs in some sounds of Prisma lately...)

Anybody knows&cares?

Sub's approach, above, ought to fix you up.

also, Martin Walker has a pretty thorough and informative discussion of ACPI in an article on XP for DAW in recent Soud on Sound. I haven't yet checked if this article was also exposed on their website - This time I bot my copy on the news stand

I'm not shure if you've got me right:

if I switch the ACPI-Mode off in the MB's BIOS - my computer doesn't start. Black Screen. So I can't turn this off and wouldn't do in the devicemanager therefore...

thx anyway, I will check this sound&sound out now...

I think he means http://www.sound-on-sound.com which will redirect you to the site http://www.sospubs.co.uk/.
This is sound on sounds uk home page, which is still alive and kicking.
