by adding an xtc card to my pulsar1 on an asusp3b ,PIII 850,512ram,matox marvel agp and matrox milenium pci graphic card for dual sreen.
Pci overflow:no more sound ,swapping between slave and master sound comes back for a second and again pci overflow even with little dsp consuming projects.
I threw out all the cards also the matrox mil.pci, just working with puls1,xtc and matox marvel agp:same problem.
By the way:in cubase the latency has changed from 13 to 25 ms while ulli is on 13?????
I changed The irq for my pulsar cards but whatever ido the hostcontroler pci
to usb keeps on folowing the same irq of the pusarcards.
My cards are in slot 4 pulsar1
slot 5 Xtc.
I entered following lines:in set-ini

[board=0] boardid= 1[board1]boardid=0
[hw] numboard=2 ....
Nothing works.
I removed the pci MATROX MILLENIUM GRAPHIC card, same problem.
I removed my creative dxr3 dvd card, no result
What else can I do?
My system:
My motherboard:Asus p3b-f with intel 440bx agp set and separate
ultradma/66pci card and intel
pIIx4e pci set.
pentium III 850 with 512 sdram
matrox marvel agp and matrox millenium pci graphic-cards boath with 16 mega
ram.
About the error message :razz:ci master overflow:
pci capacity limit reached.
thanks,

I've got a P1 with a P2 SRB like you, and the combination is very finicky, but will work fine with the right environment. Three things to try:
If you don't need USB (and you shouldn't use it with that Mboard), disable it in BIOS and ALSO disable the USB controller in Windows/System Properties/USB Controllers/Properties. This should stop it sharing an IRQ with Pulsar.

Secondly, consider running the 3.01 setup (followed by 3.01b) again - backup your background.pro if you have it customized.

Third, disable bus mastering on your Video adapters. You may have to get rid of the PCI video card altogether - it would be a good idea.
I hope this helps,
/dave

Thanks Dave for the tips, but the problem is solved by changing slots .
I putted Pulsar1 in slot 2 and xtc in slot 3.
I needed usb anyway for my midex.
I am just wondering about what is best ,pulsar 1 as first card in dsp load or xtc?
I am happy I can make music again!!!!
Greetings ,
Gerd
