Hi there. Im one of the unlucky crowd of users, that despite beeing promised, never got to get possibility of the xtc functions...
Yes again mac losers was left behind.
Now i wanna know how this works for you pc guys. Is it just as nice as it seems...Putting synths and eqs straight for use in cubase, without having to wire, load and adjust the bigmixer?

Just curious...

I like the XTC mode, but I wish

-there was automatic delay compensation on all channels.
-you could use the export audio function.

But for me the XTC mode is the reason why there's still a Pulsar II in my PC. I even added an SRB a few weeks ago.

I don't really see the point of it, for the way I work. The whole reason I got Pulsar in the first place was to work in realtime without latency. The main point of XTC seems to be to integrate VST instruments & effects - both of which I don't use. I suppose if you use native, it makes integrating all of your plugins easier, but I prefer to work in realtime on the DSPs, and with outboard.

Perhaps if I get into mastering directly inside Logic, this mode will become useful to me.

Finally, most of the free synths I like & many of my pay devices (TimeWorks) may never work in the XTC mode. So IMHO, you're not missing much... for now. Obviously some people like working this way more than others, if you 1. have other native VST instruments/effects, 2. have a UAD-1 or PowerCore, or 3. latency isn't an issue with the way you work.

XTC is nice but not completly develloped.
I use an externel reverb with sp/dif which has to be monitored through a cubase input.
I have to arm the channals to get the reverb signal back. But the channals (as far as I know)can´t stay in this mode permanent the mode is switching tooff automatically. That´s a problem.Another annoing thing problem: how to use wawelab as audioeditor?

Add that one to my wishlist. You should be able to hear the wave editor when running it at the same time as Cubase VST in XTC mode. I know about re-routing the audio from the wave editor through the VST Mixer, but that's more a work around than a real solution.
