I’m not sure this can be done, but if your GPU and Audio bandwidth are low like ours, is it possible to run a riser card/cable from a PCI-e 16X slot, that splits bandwidth into two PCI-e slots so I can attach our 1X connector to one, and then a cheap GPU to another?

Reason being I want a Mini ITX X570 board from ASRock.

I've seen tons of riser cables aplenty, and of course the coin miners were using them recently with boards that had like 16 1x ports to do 16 gpu's under linux (mining doesn't need bandwidth). For more than 1 card I would think you'd need a bridge chip on that, similar to this card which is PCIe 1.0 and 4x to 4*1x.

Another solution perhaps is a board with a 16x slot and a 4x slot and 2 risers?

I found what I needed @ Supermicro.
Imagine that.

I need a cheap 8x GPU for 2D.
And a 1X for XITE-1 PCI-e.

I’m told the 16X on a Mini ITX has enough juice for an 8 + 1.

I like Supermicro Wasn't sure you were willing to pay ~$300 though. Also I believe that's a 2U...so you might need a 1 slot GPU...

Actually a 2U for the Nanoxia 2U.
Money is never a concern as the investments pay themselves off quickly.
There’s also a 60 dollar version but not as robust as this device.

Here’s the GFX 8X Card and connector ribbon.
Just put XITE-1 PCI-e 1X on 2nd slot.

Yea it was the clearance for the GPU i was concerned about, wasn't sure what size case you're using. The ribbon should solve that for sure.

I’ll likely go with Intel but still plan an AMD build.
First rule of government spending.....why buy one when you can have two for twice the price.

PCI-e Bifurcation is what they call this.
Has to be mentioned in the manual that the BUOS will allow this.
