Probably explains why it's so cheap. No idea but I did a search as well and there's a post at organforum from a guy with a service manual. http://www.organforum.com/forums/showth ... Hammond-X5
Service manuals are a great start even if you have to pay a little http://www.hammond-organ.com/product_support/X5.htm
Hammond X5
Re: Hammond X5
To me when he says 'do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers' he has had quite a few inquiries where when the buyer wants to demo it and/or finds out its incomplete (like you) the sale has fallen thru and he is well over it taking up time and space. Definitely a canibalisation/reno job I'd say.
Hows life in Canada these days ? Any other new goodies in the studio ?

Re: Hammond X5
That particular model doesn't sound like a real Hammond.
If you want that great Hammond sound look no further than the HX-3 Module.
As a former touring musician I've used the Leslie 147s and Hammond B3 many times.
That sound is fantastic, but quite a large amount of gear.
The HX-3 ends the decision process.

Re: Hammond X5
Well if you want to add that old Leslie Sound, real dirty, Dual rotor Doppler effect this Pedal is incredible.
Just got this and instead of Guitar Pedal impedance it's matched for keyboards.
150 bucks, and very highly recommended, even on a VST.
Important part of a Hammond sound even if you don't want the Rotary effect.
The Tung-Sol Tubes sound fantastic.
I've spent 200 bucks just for RCA NOS Tubes.
Wish I heard this first.

Hey dawman, i've got the Lester G pedal. I'm pretty happy with it. It doesn't turn a cheap organ into a B3 but nothing out there really can. I still like the Scope b2003 leslie the best

Because it´s much more expensive here ...dawman wrote:Well if you want to add that old Leslie Sound, real dirty, Dual rotor Doppler effect this Pedal is incredible.

What´s better in your opinion,- Lester K or Ventilator II ?
I understood you use the RCA NOS in your modded Bellari tube exciter,- no ?dawman wrote: The Tung-Sol Tubes sound fantastic.

So you say,- WHEN finding a pre 2007 Bellari RP-562, replace 3 of the socketed op-amps by (Analaog Devices) AD832AN, then buy Tung-Sol tubes (which ?) instead of the RCA NOS ones ?
Just asking ´cause sooner or later I´ll find a Bellari w/ ser.-no. lower than 07.......

Re: Hammond X5
No Tung Sol for the Bellari RP.
RCA NOS/NIB Matched 7551s.
Keep in mind this unit is for adding grease.
Think of it as hardware versions of SpaceF FAT II w/ exceptional filtering.
For Distortion the Tung Sols sound great on the dual rotor Lester K.
The Tubes in my Radial Space Heater are great distorting Tubes too.
Not sure what Tubes they use, but that's a great mixer for PC Based Samplers.

Hello people,
I have a problem with the Hammond X5, someone took the opportunity and took out the Frequencies Tone Board and Tone Mixing Board too. If someone has a Hammond for parts, it would help me a lot to play my organ again. Thanks in advance.

Check out any Hammond dealer in Nashville.
If worse comes to worse, the new HX-3 module with new FPGA chips is incredible.
Much better than the original HX-3 module.
They made the a Tube Pre Amp simulation better, and the C3 zscanner Vibrato is so clean now.
