Am I stupid (yes probably) but why don't I have ASIO drivers for Pulsar in Cubase 5 when I use XP ???

I've gone back to 98 and all is fine but I'd rather XP for it's stability

Win2k/XP is 16bit only for now. Might that be it?

Actually that's only the WDM wave driver, and that is probably a product of the host application.

I think with ASIO you can still do 24 bit if you need to, right? I can get insane latencies (3ms!!) with 3.0 and XP, although 4ms is slightly more stable (less dropouts when i'm switching windows, moving things around).

In which order would you suggest you install the software?

Pulsar and upgrades then Cubase (this makes XTC tricky)

Or

Cubase then Pulsar and all its updates (which might make ASIO tricky)

or even Pulsar Cubase then Pulsar updates etc

Cheers
