I've tried it for the second time, and it's still messed up. I just can't get mod2 to sync right with external MIDI equipment. Right now, I'm trying the simple task of slaving a Mod2 drum sequencer to nuendo's midi clock and it just won't work right. The clock is reaching Mod2, and the steps proceed right... it's just that the start/stop info isn't sent and therefore, the 16 step always starts where it left off.(using start/stop as reset) And EVEN if I manually reset it, it misses the first few clicks, coming in 1 16/th note too late.(or even more) Is there any way I can use the 16 step?? I'd LOVE to use it for live. Also, the MIDI clock info from nuendo is veeery unstable. There are dropouts.. Anyway I can fix that?
Also, I tried sending clock signals out of mod2, using midi clock's midi out... which actually has no clock signal in it. Dang it, if only there was a clock generator within mod2 that everything could sync to!! And I wished mod2 could generate MTC so nuendo could slave to it! dammit, why are things so complex..
Anyway, if there's anyone who's got a mod2 sequencer in hardcore sync with any external clock source, please tell me how it happened.
PS, I've tried this with samplitude and triton, and the results were pretty much the same.
Any help appreciated!!!

Ever old mod2 midi sync problem
hi,
i had hard time trying to sync some modular patches but i found some tricks to reclock the clock divider module with every note in the the seq. app.(vst32). you should use the gate-or module connected to the gate out of the mvc to feed the startstop input in a clock divider connected to the clock input of the seq. module.
it works only if there is an env. connected to e-sync port in mvc.
