why am I getting VxD errors on Windows 10?
why am I getting VxD errors on Windows 10?
I thought VxD files were only for Windows 9x, i.e. Windows 95/98 or has no progress been made in relation to Sonic Core applications?

are you running Scope "as administrator"? this has nothing to do with your user account in windows. rather, it's part of windows security. windows does not allow programs to access system resources like RAM without your express permission.
to run Scope "as administrator", with Scope closed, right click on the Scope icon and choose "run as administrator". a warning window will pop up asking if it's ok for Scope to make changes to the system. you must answer "yes". you should always start Scope in this way. Vista, win7, win8, and win10 require administrator mode. this is mentioned in the letter that accompanies v5.1.
by the way, if the plugin is one of the STS samplers, these do not run in 64bit...

Hi Gary,
The STS 2000P, 3000, 4000 and 5000 all have x64 next to them.
I can post screenshots of what files appear missing if that would help.
Thank you
