Passed away yesterday at the age of 88.
I used to love listening to Val on my granddad's record player when I was a kid.
Great singer and entertainer with a fantastic collection of comfortable cardigans.

Saturday nights in the 1970s was always Val and he was perfect for the variety Christmas special.
