for my first post I thought I would share with you a piece of music I made at the weekend. Its based around a single modular patch (with three separate parts) and the bass part is provided by the the STS 3000 and some EMU samples (the old world instruments download - essentialy the world music proteus in SoundFont format).

hope you like it - you can find out more and
hear more music at http://www.junklight.com

cheers

mark

right right.. I dig this.. As far as I know, I haven't seen this type of music on this forum before. Though I am familiar with this style because my college had a computer music department.. (PD, MAX/MSP, Supercollider, Csound.. oh the software they used drove me crazy)
The self oscillation could have been turned down a bit... so I could turn the volume up to feel the nice boooooooooooom texture. Speaking of textures, I liked the bubbly textue. Was it done on the modular too?
Sure hope you'd do a song that'll make me HAPPY though.. this on sure is DARK!

Hmm,

Dark is a feature of my music I'm afraid - glad you liked it though.

The "Bubbling" sound is a sample in a sample oscilator (in the modular) fed through filters and whatnot. I have no idea what the sample is of though - knowing me its a fragment of noise I found messing about with something else but I can't for the life of me remember making it.
