This has probably been asked too many times - so sorry in advance-
Tracking in Scope with realtime effects - and zero latency -
Is it possible for the Scope to use the software effects just like hardware-eg-recording on the way into the computer-----?

sure.
vst fx will have ASIO latency. Scope fx will not.

Its the Scope effects I was asking about - So, compressors and reverbs and what ever else can be used in realtime -
Going back to when I got the Creamware Pulsar 2 & Power Sampler [and later on the Scope Pro - I bought these cards for the future so I could expand my knowledge to get the best out of them even though I knew at the time it was way over my head....
Now I have the Xite-1 too -
Anyhow, a studio owner helped me out with beginning to be able to understand them and commented on them and the DSP aspect of the S|C - Creamware cards acted in much the same way as his Pro Tools hardware - eg. DSP on the cards.
Now there is also the UAD which is DSP based as well-
I'm not into asking which is best, its more the theme of recording with DSP effects in realtime using the DSP on the hardware but without having a warehouse full of racks...

UAD pug-ins run with latency, like the UAD control panel shows, not on the DSP's but because of VST communication.
Scope plug-ins work realtime, as you say by yourself
Activating an available EQ circuit on a guitar amp doesn't add latency either.
Apparently connecting circuits on DSP behaves the same, no buffers involved, although there's DSP room preserved for 'system' like actions (calculations) if I got that right.

Scope is the most easy system for tracking the raw signal plus a fairly complex fx chain/setup perfectly time aligned
I usually have a main mono track with up to 3 stereo fx parts
during mixdown I decide how much of which part makes it into the final mix
it's the only system I know to deliver a reliable fx impression in live-mode
to be precise:
there is of course some latency in Scope's more demanding fx processes - say 4 to 16 samples
just delay the unprocessed signal for that amout (the 2448 and 4896 mixers already provide a delay button for compensation)
