I learned to know him in the seventies from older blues records with big shots as Little Walter, Howling' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson ('Help Me', with that slapping brushes drum track), Lowell Fulson and Buddy Guy.

Nothing special concerning drums, but the spread attack of the beating brushes in 'Help Me' I found fascinating back at the time:
