My Short VSL MIR Reverb Review

Post by braincell »

Been using this for a while now and I love it. At first I was skeptical since it really is to make samples sound live. Normally live recordings don't sound as good to me as studio recordings but with samples, you always worry that it will sound fake. For the purpose of fooling your audience, it is excellent. When you turn it off, there is some magic missing even though it does sound more clear without it. Funny thing about mixing, sometimes you don't want it to be as clean as possible. I found the included synthetic reverb "MIRacle" to be essential on top of MIR. Maybe I'm just used to hearing synthetic reverbs but it never sounded exactly right to me until I added that.
