I was worried about all the early negative posts on the update but they were all about the PC Side. I updated to 3.01 on Macintosh and all went well. The Desktop/OS Mode is a little more stable but still screwy enough to be basically unusable. In this mode you can now use the device menus without them "collapsing". And there's still this little "migrating" Pulsar Icon along the top menu. I don't know if it was supposed to be something cute or it's just a really annoying bug. I would still stick with the Pulsar Mode.

Good thing about 3.01: I had a large project that was causing DSP errors in 3.0; 3.01 has an optimization dialgue that seems to be a little better than the one in 3.0.

The wave editor in the STS5000 now works again. You can now load more than one Sampler of ALL types including the STS5000 where before I got an error message for the 5000. Just for kicks I loaded 5 STS3000's before the DSP usage meter got dangerously high (10 DSP's total on my system). I don't know what you'd do with 80 channels. I usually run out of ideas at about 20 channels of any type, audio or MIDI, but I know there are power users out there.

Overall, doesn't seem too bad to me, but them I'm only a casual user.
