I have to manually turn on my Scope CP-MIDI Interface and Midi Interface-CP every time I start the computer. Every other connection remains as last configured. (Win XP 32) Basically, Copperlan see's the Scope midi connections but does not turn it on. I have tried "snapshot" with the same results.
Anyone know of any reason why or how to change this?
(I will post this on the CP forum too)

All I do is turn the cpvm service on manually after scope has started up completely (as opposed to automatic startup). That happens in windows 8/7 and XP.
I had the same issue and also asked Phill in Copperlan and Sonic-Core Support ofr help. This was SC's suggestion. I think it was Garyb who answered.
Re: Copperlan Scope
ok, how do I do that again? I can deselect CPVM service in msconfig but I after I reboot it no longer shows the ethernet port when I start copperlan. I did not see CPVM in the startup.

You go to services.msc and put the "CPVM Service" in Manual.
You will always have to start the service manually after scope.exe has finished it's startup. I mean, when you turn your pc on, scope.exe will complete it's loading while the cpvm service is turned off, once scope.exe has completed it's startup loading process you go to services.msc and start the cpvm service.
Re: Copperlan Scope
ok, thanks. I selected manual start and put a shortcut for CPVM.exe on the desktop. Not the ideal way, but saves a little bit of time this way since I've got a PCI Scope as well as Xite on the computer.

Re: Copperlan Scope
Hi there,
As far I know we have fixed this issue... what is the CopperLan version installed on your computer?
Here is a link to the latest stable build of CopperLan. It is the 1.2(8) candidate, not yet published officially. Let me know if it fixes your issue.
For XP32: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/215 ... %29%5D.exe
For other Window versions: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/215 ... %29%5D.exe
Note: this version contains new drivers, so please take care of the driver installation dialog box that could be hidden by the installer window under XP32.

Re: Copperlan Scope
hi Phil. yes I downloaded a new version you posted on the CopperLan forum and it has been working great. I will check the one you posted here and see if it is the same. It's really not that big of an issue to me. Would it be possible to have an option to deselect the CPVM on bootup and then have it start when you open the Copperlan program?

Re: Copperlan Scope
No because the CPVNM is needed for any CopperLan application or hardware. The plug&play offered by CopperLan is only possible if the CPVNM is awake continuously. It shouldn't take any CPU time when no CopperLan hardware/software is present. Otherwise there is an issue on your computer that we have to identify & fix.Would it be possible to have an option to deselect the CPVM on bootup and then have it start when you open the Copperlan program?
