Windows 8.1 64-bit and missing file issue

Post by fidox »

Hi !

When i want to load DAS plugins, which uses DAS COEF11.sys, Scope writes me , can't find the file, but file is there.
I have full control enabled and own all rights in Windows 8 for all folders and files.

I remember that while i had windows 8.1 32-bit and set up program to run like administrator, that modules - DAS loaded fine,
but now in windows 8.1 64-bit, i have also set up program to run like administrator , but i can't load this module and is writing file is missing , but file is there !

Any tip , what can i also try would be appreciated !

Windows 8.1 64-bt
Scope 5.1

Hi, don't have that device, but the same happens to me when using Zarg Solaris on a different file if I don't start Scope as Adminstrator...

I feel there must be some Windows Authority / Permissions change that would solve it, but nothing I've tried on the OS has worked...

Try launching Scope as Adminstrator (right-click Scope.exe, choose "Run as Adminstrator"), see if that solves it.
Not because it is easy, but because it is hard...

Thanks for your reply and sharing experiences ! :)

Well, the thing is, that i'm running like administrator, cause i already used the same settings in Windows 8.1 32-bit.
Now, at 64-bit i have set everything to run like administrator, but still no.
Maybe i'm missing here some simple solution, maybe no :)

definitely do that. windows security does not allow a program to have access to system resources like ram, unless it's in adminitrator mode.

i'm thinking that you didn't download the 64bit DAS files:
ftp://sonic-core.net/software/scope5/pl ... sions/DAS/

Currently I have freezes for 2 plugins DAS C350 and MasterIT EQ !

I have clean install of Windows 8.1 64bit (updated with latest updates) and
installed Scope 5 64bit software !
All plugins works fine, just those 2 not !
After i copied DAS COEF11.sys (64bit) and wants to load those 2 plugins,
computer freezes, no matter what i do.
I have tried to re-install software, cards drivers, administrator rights for every file possible and everytime i get freezes (blue screen).

I'm thinking that happened after latest spring update for Windows 8.1, but i can't be 100%.

Anyway, i can use DAS C350L, which works fine !

Just for information....

updated :

Like i suspected and already have some issues with this new update for Windows 8.1 64bit.
I un-installed spring update for Windows 8.1 (KB2919355) and re-installed Scope drivers again and
everything works just great now ! No freezes or blue screen !
DAS C350 and MasterIT EQ !
