lol, ya, the snow here is bad... it's all over the place. Of course, my daughter (4 yrs) is loving it since she gets to play in the snow every weekend. Commuting isn't too bad since subways are largely unaffected by the snow. I've been here 8 years, or a little more, so I'm pretty well equipped to handle snow. Right jackets, right shoes, etc. Having the right stuff and knowing how to handle things makes it far less stressful. My first year, having moved up from Miami (and growing up in the tropics) it was a major climate culture shock.

But just as every year in NY, after 4 mo of being cold, I'm kind of getting sick of the general "coldness".

...and in Holland we have a warm winter record of 100 years...
Almost 300.
30º C. difference with a year ago (-20 and now +11).
Didn't see any snow yet, and it's too late now to expect any, considering the weather block of ocean depressions coming from the west (see west coast England/Schotland...).

Much pleasure in the snow :)
