No Chance to get XTC work in C7 / Win7. PLEASE HELP

Post by GI_Joe2309 »

Hi Folks,
I really go mad with the XTC mode. Please, can anyone help me solving this problems:

I`m running Scope 5.1/64bit with a bundle of SC-PCI-Cards.
Using WIN7/64bit and Cubase6.5/32Bit. Scope set to start in under Admin rights.

Every time I start the DAW (like I alsways did in WinXP32) in XTC mode I get the error "Big modules do not fit ... blabla bla ...
So I ripped the XTC Set down to only 1 Input Module (Adat 8 CH), 2 CH Asio2 flt Src64) the ControlRoom (nessesary for switching 3 pairs of monitors) and 1 Output module (Adat 8 Ch).

So it starts in XTC, but neither I can use the mouse to switch anything (mouse wheel works) nor has any Scope VST PlugIn any Parameters; Every PlugIn comes with the Cubase-Standard view "No Parameters".

In the settings for choosing the ASIO I can`t open a control panel for changing the sample rate / ULLI settings. I can hear a sound going through the 2 Channels and I can see the metering inside ControlRoom, but it`s set to 44.1 kHz (instead of 48kHz) and it seems that there is no sync (hopping and crackeling - u know what I mean).

What the hell can I do? I used XTC for many years on Cubase4 /XP32 /Scope 5 and everything worked fine. No I bought the ARC2-System and need to switch to 2CH Output and using the MasterVerb and VinCo inside Cubase ...

Please, can anyone help me - I really tried EVERYTHING during the last months ... again and again, I can`t make it work ...

Best regards,

Joerg

Thank you, I will try that immediately. Seems to be a good solution for the moment!

Would be nice if someone of you could solve the rest of the problems ...?!?

Joerg

Dear Folks,
what`s your suggestion for me to do;

Should I wait for Scope6 (64bit) or should I change my system to WIN7 32 Bit?
Do you think SC will publish the new Scope within the next weeks?

Thanks, Joerg

I doubt Scope 6 will support XTC mode. Since the plan with Scope 6 is to already have a matching sequencer (ParseQ) with Scope device control fully integrated - this will be like XTC on steroids.

Honestly, your best bet is to use normal Scope mode and do like MausMuso in using ARC2. He's using ARC2 right now why wait till Scope 6 (which may not come until next year)?
