Hello all,
I have strange problems with my Pulsar 1 card:
1: Windows crashes and the sound stutters. (Hard reset)
2: Scope decives don't sync/keep beat in Ableton Live. It sounds like speeding up and slowing down the tempo a record but without the pitch changes.
These problems only happen when I use scope devices (instruments) and no VST.
When I working with VST instruments, some send effects (Masterverb classic, Dual Delay, Phaser and Distortion) and compressors as inserts I get no crashes or sync problems.
I searched the forum and already tried/checked the following:
* Disconnecting my MIDI keyboard (which was sending some strange signals)
* 'Standard PC' installation. I couldn't not test if the crashes still occur because I was unable to install Ableton Live (installer just stops with no error message), SFP 3.1c installed without errors. I could see that the Pulsar was sharing IRQ's with 3 other devices.
* IRQ Check in normal installation shows no conflicts or IRQ sharing
* I was able to load 4 Masterverbs in the STM 1632. I can load the 5th masterverb but then I get the PCI-overflow message.
* Clean installation of XP with SFP 3.1a
* Turned off unused onboard devices in the BIOS
I don't have Scope 4.0 keys yet but Sonic|Core will provide me with them when they get the chance.
What do you guys think? Is it a mobo issue, driver issue or a broken card.

I apologize if my post is a bit long but I wanted to make sure that I posted all the info.

Strange problems and crashes
Re: Strange problems and crashes
It looks like my problem is solved.
I installed Windows XP SP2 in standard PC mode and disabled ACPI in the BIOS.
The card still shares an IRQ with a device which I can't disable.
I had to install Ableton Live 8 and all seems to work fine. No sync issues, no stutter freezes, but I know that I should replace my mobo since I am planning on getting another card.
But for now I am going to have some fun with my some old scope devices I downloaded here years ago.
