an odd Scope 4.5 quirk

Post by Gary_101 »

hi folks,

my Scope 4.5 installation does odd things occasionally (like forgetting my reg keys numbers, etc).

last few times, the routing window, instead of displaying the usual top horiz. menu
of "devices, fx, connections" etc, shows instead some major folder-names on my XP C drive, like
"Desktop", "Cookies", "My Documents" etc.

(screen shot uploaded below)

would anyone happen to know how to fix this?

thanks for any ideas.

Gary

the easiest fix is to just run the installer again.
don't uninstall, just run the installer.

Looks like the directory path for devices has been altered. You can change this in the Scope settings window and it'll update when you restart Scope.

This is how I would deal with your problem personally. That's assuming everything else appears OK with the install.

Otherwise I'd do as GaryB suggests and run the installer.

you can also try to rebuild the cset.ini file in scope\app\bin. delete the cset.ini and then start Scope.
