Hermode Tuning In Cubase 7

Post by braincell »

This is the kind of thing most people probably won't use but I find it fascinating. I plan to dive right into this as soon as I upgrade. He says it's more pronounced with many tracks and I have some large classical music symphony MIDI files I downloaded. A pleasant surprise when you do this is that Cubase will automatically load Halion SE and assign the correct patch to each channel based on the General MIDI Standard. It actually sounds not bad.

Do you hear it? I do.

I would like to hear a full composition to see how much it makes a difference in a real context. Also it would make adding acoustic instruments a bit of a pain I guess.

Being a Harry Partch fan I've always enjoyed these type of ideas.

I think there's been fixers like this floating around for quite a bit.. mostly as a microtuning companion

It's been in Logic and a few other apps for a while, and is implemented in several hardware and software synths too. Good to see Steinberg is finally onboard as well, 7 might be worth investing in (I'm still on v5 for Cubendo) if I build a new machine anytime soon...

I bought the 5 to 6.5 with free upgrade to 7 offer now as it's time limited. After that you'll have to buy 7 full price. I am definitely getting a Lenovo next year so save quite a bit with this upgrade offer. I would buy it now so you can use it later.

It works with acoustic recorded instruments if you use VariAudio.
