Hi there

Have build a little synth in modular 3.Not each time but often enough when İ hit a note,İ hear a click on the start of the sound İ play.....what could be the problem???

is it a sample osc or normal va osc

i find each can click in some situations

samples are the worst for it with the sample os

a lot of the time if you adjust the attack very slightly not 0 but 1 or 2 it will stop this

Post a screenshot, most likely dis connected Gate/ESync, but who knows w/o a screenshot.

Maybe if you raise, a little, the attack time of the amp envelope you use, will solve this problem.

Thanks for replying so soon. Here is a screenshot of the synth.

İ dont know maybe it is because the oscilators are running all the time and they dont start up from zero each time they get triggered. İ dont want to mess around with the attack time to preserve the punch because no matter how little i try i can here the difference and it bothers me. Btw is there an osclator that can sync the start?

the first problem is you have poly set to 4 if you press more than 4 notes you get poly stealing which it will take from the envelopes

you need to add an esync as you only have the amp envelope with esync and not the filter envelope

if i remember right there are a special trick
try a 6db LP filter in between envelope out and vca in (at the control signal path)

also try roy thines cwmodular envelopes as i find the creamware vintage ones produce clicks but cwmodular envelopes the vintage one is fast and smooth and produces no clicks
