Hey everyone, this is the most annoying little shit problem. I am using cubase and I keep having midi channels freeze on me.
Here is an example. Lets say, I record a part on midi channel one. Next, I record a drum track on midi channel ten. Sometimes(it seems to happen at random), when I would switch back to channel one, to edit or modify the part... it no longer responds. Not only that, even if I just try to play back, it doesnt work. And when I look at the synth on my pulsar desk, the midi light does not light up, indicating that it is not receiving the midi data, which it was just receiving 2 minutes earlier. Now suppose I switch channel one to channel two, and make the change accordingly on my synth(this happens with all synths by the way), it then seems to work again. But channel one just stays dead. It refuses to transmit data anymore. I click on "reset devices" in cubase but still, it doesnt work. Can someone please tell if they have experienced the same problem and how they have fixed it.
The thing that gets me, is that it seems to happen so randomly. I'm not transmittting a lot of midi data, so it cant be a traffic problem. I can't figure out what is causing it. If anyone figures it out, please lemme know so I can stop tearing my hair out. Thanks.

hi,
I get similar problems (very rarely) and it seems to be cubase bug rather than pulsar one. The only way to 'repair' it is to save the song and reload cubase. But you should try the cubase forum, too. The site address may look unfamiliar but it's the cubase official forum: http://linux1723.dn.net/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi. Just choose your system and there you go!!!
