Hey guys,
is it possible to manage two systems on one hardisk?
I have the idea to make a testsystem with win2000 additional to my win98 on the same harddisk.
C is my working win98
d the swapfile of 98
e win 2000 testsystem
Are there any experiences with this setup out there regarding pulsar?
I´ve read in the forum that I have to turn off Plug & Play OS in my BIOS for using win2000.
But I´ve made bad experiences with this option when using pulsar 2.04a under win98. I had to
turn on Plug & Play OS in my BIOS because if i had turn it off, my pulsar was freezing.
By the way how big must be the partition for windows 2000?
Every help will be appreciated
Thanks in advance

ACPI MUST be disabled AFAIK. Win98 should do without, mine does. So try to tweak that first. (you know infinitevortex? I assume you do)
W2k: run setup and set path to e:win2000 when it asks where to install. The setup configures the bootmanager. No worry. Take 1 GB min. for system and look for ServicePack 2.
Good luck!

What you also can do is get a copy of Partition- BootMagic7.0 (www.powerquest.com). I recently bought the software ($65) and first started re-partition my hard drive with partition Magic. When I did that I rebooted the system and it started in the new active partition. This is a complete blank space where you can install W2K. After you made all the adjustments and installation install bootmagic on that partition and you can select which partition you want to boot.
Good Luck!
