I upgraded to SC 5.0 and now when I load any XTC plug-in in Ableton Live I get the below message and the plug-in doesn't make any sound.
Cannot find conversion 0x1 -> 0x6001
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Re: Cannot find conversion 0x1 -> 0x6001
The whole story is that I upgraded from 4.5 to 5.0 on my XP SP3 box and everything was working fine in XTC mode using Ableton Live 8.2.2. Then, I realized that I didn't have a key for Modular IV, so I uninstalled it. Instead of just uninstalling Modular IV, it uninstalled the entire SC 5.0. So, I installed it again, and now I get that error in XTC mode. Scope mode works fine.

Re: Cannot find conversion 0x1 -> 0x6001
interesting.
i've been informed that the may be a few third party v4 devices that cause this error in xtc mode. could it be a specific plugin that you hadn't tried in xtc mode v5 before, that is the source of the error, or do you get it with everything?
it's possible for the developer to redo a plugin in v5, if it's a specific plugin that brings the error, assuming the free time in his schedule and willingness to do so....
if you get that error with everything, you might try uninstalling and then doing a manual search of the registry for SonicCore and then Scope and then Modular(and deleting anything related to the removed Scope data. this step is not really necessary, unless you really want to be thorough), and then deleting the old Scope folder in Program Files. then try a reinstall.
