I bought version 2 of Brainworx's M/S plugin a while back and wondered if the 3 options, which also inlcuded Stereo and Mono came in a single device as it shows on the site.
I have each version but as a single device. The M/S device doesn't allow the audio signal to pass through when I add it in the Mastering insert?
Also is it possible for the device to have the outputs as L/R(Phased)/Mono as an option, so we could further process the signals, or does this all have to be done within the plugin?
Thanks

Re: Brainworx M/S Plugin V2
Seems that I have the updated version and not version2.
What's the difference?

Re: Brainworx M/S Plugin V2
The V2 has all 3 modes in one device, and I think it was an update where they merged all three.
IIRC the original V1 had the three different devices.
I don't recall having issues with m/s if it's inserted in a channel, but I'm not sure about master if the functionality works or not.
The processing is best done within the plugin, and is IMO ideally suited for optimizing a single stereo pre-mixed track rather than using it DURING a mix.
At least that's my experience (where I got the best results).

Re: Brainworx M/S Plugin V2
Also, V2 has a slightly different GUI (all-in one, instead of 3 different windows), no inserts, and an Auto-Solo function, which solos the channel you're currently tweaking. The input / output section is also different.
From my experience, the BX excels in the final stage, just tweaking an already mixed song, and taking care of the stereo image (monomaker is a pearl). When I need dramatic EQ, I turn to other tools, just use this to polish things off.

it also seems to center some of the audio and widen others, eg, u have a shaker to the left of center, then apply M/S, and it puts it to the center, ....not sure if the scope one is perfected like the vst one
