can't get audio in scope 4 on windows 7

Post by spalsist »

Hi, I have a Windows 7 and XP installed on my machine (both 32bits, on seperate hdds) and I'm using Pulsar2 with Scope 4.5.

On XP everything works fine (but I use XP only for cubase) ,but on windows 7 I can't get no audio from my monitors. I've seen people on this forum confirming that scope 4 DOES work on win7. The routing is ok ( same as I use in xp which works ) but all I want in windows 7 is ...well just to be able to hear sound from the monitors, just to listen to music or youtube :o . When I try to play any audio file winamp gives me this error :

Did anyone encounter similar problem or knows how to solve this situation ?

P.S : In device manager Pulsar2 is recognized fine , but in winamp prefernces in wave out options in devices list I have a device name in gibberish.

did you load a wave source module in SFP window?
then go to windows sound setting and set scope as the main driver

thanks, worked like magic. strange thing, it was recognized in device manager but wasn't listed (and moreover hidden and disabled) in the list of playback devices
