XITE-1 v5.0 upgrade to v5.1. New keys necessary???

Post by rhythmaster »

Hi all!

I have a XITE-1 with software v5.0.
I installed v5.1 and the keys didn't work.
I wrote a mail to Soniccore --> no reply..

So is it a mistake by me or do I need new keys???

Thank you
Harry

yes, new keys are required for v5.1.

if you already have v5 and you are remaining on a 32bit os, there is NO advantage to the upgrade. if you are moving to 64bit, then you'll need to pay. v5 users get a discount. the fee offsets S|C's costs for 64bit developement and support for the old cards.

5.1 is free for new customers or XITE-1 users. Still, there is no change if using a 32bit OS.

Sonic Core is very busy with many new developments...and they are working with me on one here in the USA....I got a few emails from Holger this morning I had been waiting for, for over a week now. Thet must be up to something, because if it takes them that long to get back to me...something is brewing....;)

rhythmaster, Did you get an automated email from SC saying they had received your email and will get back to you? If so then sometimes it can take a little while to reply as things have been very busy there recently. But they will reply. And if you dont hear back within a few days then perhaps send another reminder. :)

yes, you did specify that you had an XITE. i've written that bit too many times now...

anyway, if you really want v5.1 or if you move to 64bit, write and email with "5.1 keys for XITE" or "registration" in the subject line and then include your serial number or better, your old keyfile. a simple request is easier to handle than a more complicated message that might need to bew interpereted.

Thanks for this info.

I'll stay with my XITE-1 v5.0 32-bit Win 7 with Cubase 5.2.2 and soon Cubase 6.

And it looks like there will be a v5.2 or something like that with some bugfixes which are carried along for years ...

So hopefully we will see soon a remarkable update also concerning the DSP-connections (still have these messages where I have to reload ...) and with Gizzmo ...

Would be nice not to have to wait until Christmas again and then only get a 5.0 --> 5.1 with no changes
