This is an obvious question and I imagine the answer is obvious too, but if everything's running fine with V3 (which it is) then is it COMPLETELY safe to erradicate all traces of 2.04 ? Just a file menu delete (rather than an "uninstall") ?

I can tell you that since I'm not a computer tech I had to uninstall and reinstall almost everything.
Version 2.04a is not installed as the drivers for this version and the new one are different.
V.3 works fine by itself.

it is good, but there are some problems!

Hi!

For your OS, it's safe to delete (uninstall) V2.04.
I keep 2.04 for a while:
-it doesn't interfere with 3.0, both can be installed on same boot, both on the same (v3.0) drivers.
-it gives me the redundancy I need and not all v2 devices/plugs that I might need already support v3.

So now you have to make up for yourself weither you'd like to use 2.04 later once in a while. Then you can safely remove it.

i learned somthing important about OS's this rule ususaly works for almost every OS update: never install the latest OS , always work with one generation older OS , i downloaded pulsar v.3 but haven't installed it yet due to time problems , now when i have the time for doing this , i won't.

after seeing so any problems in so many ways , i decided to stay with the old 2.4 , maybe it's not currently the best but it's working fine for me , i got used to the annoying delayed level meters (which CW said it'll be fixed very soon... how much time past between 2.4 to the 3rd version ?) and besides that everything is really cool.

i'm sitting in front of my pc in 'cause of MAKING music and not to sit and troubleshoot my system.

the bottom line: my advice , wait a while 'till the fog will clear out and bug fixes will come , untill than i think you can still finish a track or two.

peace

dammit seth! I hate it when you are right and I don't want you to be!

v3 kicks ass and I'll stop complaining about my OS mode. I am getting the most angelically possessed pads out of the matrix synth . . .
