Unbelievable problem with Win7 x64 S.C. 5.1 x64 and Cubase 5

Post by milanlkc »

Configuration:
Intel i5 750,
Gigabyte P55UD3L,
Memory: Kingstone 4x2GB KHX16OC9AD3K2/4G,
Graphic card: GAINWARD G Force 8400GS,
Hard disc: WD 640GB,
Luna 2, Win 7 x64,
Cubase 5

After instalation of fersh copy of Windows, Cubase 5 and Sonic scope 5.1 x64, begin a next problems:
In C5 import audio (44,1 16bit or any other validity) start's click's and pop's on every level of latency (24-2ms).
Win 7 optimization is done properly, all unnecessary proces and services are disconnected, IRQ is set.
Problem appears also in XTC mode.
SO! After all these problem I instaled on same configuration M-Audio Delta 1010 and there was any problems like I had with Luna 2 and Scope 5.1.
On same configuration without optimization, IRQ... with instaled Win 7 x86 Luna 2 and SC 5.1 x86 works perfectly!

Is it possible that i5 750 or some other component from my configuration does not support SC 5.1 x64 ?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone know something about this problem, PLEASE!!!!!! Help me.

Hang in there man, most people who set up 64 bit machines have had trouble with clicks.
Try these settings that XITE-1/4Live suggests in his post 64 Bit testing post under the XITE category.
They worked for me.

Here's what the OS tweaks I got for 100% glitch free ASIO / GSIF operation.

Intel EIST.....................Disabled
Intel C State.................Disabled
Intel C1E......................Disabled
CPU Overspeed Prot.......Disabled
Hyperthreading..............Disabled
Execute Bit Support........Enabled
Set Limit Max CPUID to 3..Disabled
Intel Virtual Tech............Enabled
Intel VT-d Trch..............Disabled

Undervolt DRAM from 1.65v to 1.4v for anything over 8GB's @ 1600MHz...

NONE of the software is TRULY optimised for multiple cores. add to this power stepping and your REALTIME audio suffers(the RME card while low latency is NOT realtime). disabling power stepping which is wholly UNNECESSARY for audio apps(audio is not helped by the cpu throttling up and down as it is used) solves this problem.
