Gold Wave Replacement Needed For Windows 7 64bit

Post by dawman »

I am having trouble with compatable apps. like Gold Wave in W7.
Any ideas on what is working well.?

FWIW I dropped Adobes' invasive apps for pdf.'s and found FoxIt works great and doesn't bloat up your DAW w/ constant upgrading nonsense....

For what, wave editing?
Reaper doesn't do wav editing?

I use Samplitude. No need to get yet more apps and do more workarounds to get a mix ready to burn or master.
Either check out Samplitude Producer, or look around on ebay for older versions of Samplitude Music Studio 15.
Full front-to-back tracking-through final mix.

PM me if you have questions.

Hey Jimmy,

According to their site 64bit is supported: http://www.goldwave.com/

If not, I started using Wavosaur, admittedly on Win7 32bit, but it's reasonably likely to work on 64bit: http://www.wavosaur.com/

It handles .wav loops, which is key to being able to create the wavetables for some of Assaf's patches, which Audacity doesn't, for instance.

Cheers,
Will

Whats odd is I complained to GWave on 8/20 when I first went 64bit..........
Now it shows they have updated....Alwsy pays to be polite 'eh.....
I am just reading the new 3,67 64bit Reaper Manual so I will probably see soemthing there too.

THanks Gents..
