I need this sound

Hi,

I'm not the synthie expert. Although I have all the creamware synths.
I need a synthie sound like this:

AFAIK Amorphis used an old moog for this. But I cannot get this with miniscope.

Can someone help me? I get some sounds that are close to that I need. But not perfect.
(e.g. lightwave preset 68, I think)
I know it must be possible with this creamware synths but I'm to stupid ...

Have you the Minimax? If so try tweaking some of the "soft lead" categorised presets. Sounds like plenty of sine with tops filtered plus a touch of glide. Alfonso's Unisix module fattens it all up too.

I think so (hey, I have nearly all plugins ...). I will try it tomorrow.

To be honest I dont want to copy amorphis. I'm looking for a nice synthy sound that plays a second melody line to a guitar. Amorphis sound is only the closed example of what I have in mind.

Yeah, Minimax is the answer, it's a sort of '70 classic rock-prog mono lead.
Don't forget the glide that features the 70% of character of this sound.

Btw. since the thread came up:

I uses the lightwave sound mentioned above.
But the minimax was what I was looking for. But in mix we decided to don't use i, but I used it somewhere else instead.
(I often record different sounds and decide in mix what to use. Some times I use even all spread over the stereo image. Sometime the one that I only recorded for test ...)

It sound a lot like ARP prosoloist kind of sound ( aka some tony banks lead synth on selling england by the pound ) .
you can easily emulate it with the minimax ( use only one or two vco )
