hello

Post by modularFreak! »

I just bought a XITE-1 and would like to introduce myself. I'm completely new to this technology (some friend of mine told me it was cutting edge, and the thing is still boxed on my desk  but it'll be up and running soon i hope) and would like to learn the basics. cheers to all :)

Welcome!

Yeah, a bit of a paradigm shift is about to occur for you....
You may be the first person to buy an Xite on just the advice of a friend. That's great.

i don't know if you bought this just for the Modular 4 (judging by your name), but if you did you will find a heck of a lot more going on inside that box than you ever suspected (sort of a friendly Pandora's Box).

Welcome to our world!
In case you haven't spotted them already, you may find my site:
http://www.modularsynth.co.uk/
and Roy's site:
http://www.cwmodular.org/
useful for finding about what's available for the Modular in Scope / XITE.

Thank you all!! if you guys can be as gentle when I'll start to ask dumb questions... :)
Alrighty, I unpacked the jewel, felt its weight, stared at it for a while 8) and just couldn't believe everything'd be packed in that ridiculously tiny box considering its supposedly power some I've heard of. AND, why it's up and running!!!
now I have to find about how to get sound out of it
thanks again for the cheers and the links
I've searched through the forum and read about flexor and guessed i should buy it right?

And don't forget to get John Bowen's Modular as well...I think there are over 500 total modules now available between the links in this thread above, and the Flexor, RD (John Bowen's at www.zargmusic.com), jk9, Roy's, CWModular's and others...you will be in Modular heaven...
Try loading some of the examples...connect a MIDI keyboard (not usb) and you're off and running
If you have questions for routing the devices with the mixer...post your routing window in a screen capture..the answers will come very quickly...trust me on this one...
ENJOY! :)
