it has a normal intel chipset and everything

i was trying a via one for my project, and besides no having SATA, it is a piece of crap.(via chipset) and it doesnt even feel like booting to windows half the time.

luckily that one was free i shall donate it to the roadside scroungers.

Layout of the board looks like it might cramp the Scope card, verify against the location of the SATA connectors & whatever that is on the far end of the board (far right) versus the card being installed. Also might want to check & make sure what revision/keying the PCI slot has, ie. for 5v compatibility.

I am putting it in a 2u project box, and using a 90 degree PCI riser, as long as the PCI slot is close to the edge it should be fine.

Right, thankfully the keying is enough to figure this out, you just need a top-down image of that board.



Compared to the image in Newegg's listing (click on image to use 'image viewer') it seems to be a 5v slot, assuming the ports at the rear are the rear for the PCI slot (a safe bet eh.) Btw notice that the price is only 76.99 USD (~83.99 CAD) on Newegg.

Thats good, it looks like its cheaper almost everywhere than that ebay listing!
