well, they've already grown a sperm cell using stem cells, so men are on the way out...
I can see us growing modular organisms in dishes - need a heart? grow it. Need a kidney? grow it.

This technical merging is just a step along the way.

Ah, Cab Calloway! Besides being one of the earliest scat singers, his dance moves were copied by Marcel Marceau, Bill Bailey, James Brown, Michael Jackson, and more than a few others. The guy had a way of moving, and energy that couldn't be burned. He was also a very smart promoter, and was one of the first to time performances with movie releases to maximize the buzz.

He played a small theatre where I worked in the late 80s. He would dress in a brilliant yellow tux with tails, top hat, and spats, and walk around town twirling his cane and dancing, talking to anybody who came by, and inviting them to his show. And he was non-stop motion on stage, even then.
