new site, same url (almost)

Post by spacef »

POST EDITED:

THE SITE IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL AGAIN
There may be some graphical things here and there but that will be for summer homeworks (ie, slow, later,....).

The downloads should work again (there were adds on the download page, which was not intentional and needed to be coded-out)

New site: http://www.spacef-devices.com/

Check your profile.
You should really put your area log/pass in the area info field....

old site (if you need profile info, files etc http://www.spacef-devices.com/dacore/

Have fun

Mehdi

Mehdi's own hollydays blog:
the desert wind, the sirocco, is blowing hard here (tunis north), 43 degrees (celsius) in the shade (that's about 103 Farenheit) , perfect weather to be in the water all day long , the meditaranean is like a big pond of oil, as the wind cuts the waves... tomorrow should be for water skiing ;) (the blondy she-owner of the ski base should please Jimmy BIG time , lol )
have a nice day wherever you are...

Don't toture me, send a png.
I have always wanted to see the Med in summertime. Someday.
I have a very beautiful choreographer friend here in LV who is Maltese.
Just because of her outrageous beaty I want to visit that island too.

There were problems with registration of new user (confirmation email was not sent at all).
- now Fixed

Also, forms to get access to the user area and to get activation keys are back online and working.

- I am afraid some info from previous profiles can't be recovered...[/b] i tried everything but it just won't update...
The pertinent info is your hardware serial (used to populate form fields automatically in the Activation_Key forms).
- Also, user area info is lost, which should be fine if you used cookies (the area info should be stored in your browser).
- if you lost it, you can still access your profile on the old site.

- One thing is still missing, it is the "cart"" of the shop :-) this should be available shortly.... (I will let you know).

Sorry for the unconveniences, just a short transition period.... ( i didn't expect august to be so buzy :-) )

Hi people of Z,

If some of you have the time,

- could you please check if the "Search" function works for you ? (type something like "filter" or "synth" : the pop up with the result should be "browsable" (you have arrows to change pages that allow to see other the results in the same pop-up).

- is the site readable ?

- Do you see the products in the shop ?
- Registered users: profiles now contain tracking of your orders.
- the "my download" will be available ONLY for keyed-products (with hardware key) - BUT IT IS NOT YET implemented (no downloads yet). BlackBox products/family cannot be downloadable.
- geolocalization: i removed the map until i can add a privacy setting (show on map yes/no). but you can fill your city/country etc indepedantly and without fear of being observed by satellites ;-)

http://www.spacef-devices.com

If you have IE6, do you see the warning for upgrading ?

8)

Many thanks in advance... I am just trying to entertain you during the summer

k, back to SDK for a while :-)

I was perusing your site last night, and the search seemed to be working.
I'm using Firefox.

The site is very functional and an endless source of inspiration and knowledge.
BBII will keep you busy for years Greg.
I just started trying out the MiniMost I & II as I never got around to trying them.
They are synthesizer shells that can have just enough basics to get some exotic LFO's stuff.
RD II Modules, SpaceF Satellites and Flexor Modules will keep you busy for sure.
A 6 voice heavily loaded preset will fit on it's own DSP in the X-Box.
What I like the most is the speed of preset loading. Some load as fast as the PChnage message arrives. Even he biggest presets take 1 second maximum, as they are stricly the Meat & Potatoes.
The finest Oscillators, Filters and effects collection of any DSP platform.

Yes, great - MORE toys to buy.
Have you yet posted some of your favorite projects?
If not, feel free to send some to me

I'm considering the RDII bundle...

Thanks for the new pdf.'s.
There's so much to BBII it's overwhelming, but everytime I check in the new site I see new pdf.'s so I try new ideas out and I found a way to use the LFO EF Modulator and the Mono out Master channel.
Anyone who owns SpaceF mixers is probably familiar with the 3 LFO's device and what it does.
This is the same only the audio input of the LFO EF is the deal breaker.
The single press of a button can cause huge filter sweeps on an entire mix, or any combination of channels.
I use the Modular LFO2MIDI patch to control my external Analog synths and a CC8 Device, so taking an extra output from the CC8 and attaching a CC to the EF Fader, that is the rate of the fliter sweep, and totally automated.
I hear electro re mixes doing this on their mixes and think it's really nice.

Below the Mono Out from the Master Channel goes directly to the LFO EF audio input.
A simple MIDI Program Change message can be used to trigger the entire process instantly.

only the audio input of the LFO EF is the deal breaker.
What's the problem ? it seems to work fine here, I have been auto-wah-wahing all day yesterday with it :-)
the EF output can be high and the mixer's modulations inputs are quite sensitive that's true (to be able to deal with a maximum of modulation signal types or filters of various kinds), so you have to set the modulation gain right on the mixers or the EF output knob... the attack/release parameters can also act as smoothers for the outputed modulation .
Wax controller is even more sensitive, which was cool on the roland ep-7 but less cool with the M-AUdio EX-P (because the EX-P doesn't have a correct min/max settings on the pedal, it doesn't work as should contrary to the Roland's.. but well, M-Audio is M-Audio right ? :) ).

Well hold your horses cheif..........DEAL BREAKER in USA means the icing on rhe cake, the greatest feature, etc.
I am having a blast with this thing, that's why I am commenting on it's success..............................Mi estas matondo pinchy way....
I am making presets for Auto panning w/ the 3 LFOS device and Filter Sweeps w/ the LFO EF.
Esta Bien...??.... :D

BTW the M-Audio pedals have volume adjuster on the side that actually when twisted moves your knobs on Wax to the perfect settings.
These are the older pedals that look and feel cheap but work better than Yamaha and Roland, so I bought several of them.

Set your knobs and faders on their most centered noon, or 50% positions.
Then check your MIDI Monitor to see what CC number the knob on the side of the pedal is sending. I am thinking it is always CC #11.
Your devices and the M-Audio EP-1's are a match made in heaven, mostly because of functionality, price and don't change positions like the heavier FC7 and EV-1 do. Those suckers move around w/o touching them due to their heavier build I suppose.
