I.O.U. From Sacramento

Post by dawman »

Well this is a first for me.
The downsides of being a contractor are few in a State like Nevada that has no taxes, but I do have to pay a SIIS insurance of 13.00 bucks a week per member.
But Harveys Hotel subbed us out to Heavenly Ski Resort for private and celbrity ski functions.
Being a stand up guy I paid my taxes weekly by check to the State of California along with insurances which were 900 bucks a week.
And after asking for my tax forms no answer, etc. So I wrote them off as a loss with my accountant.
So finally after 6 months of haggling with these worthless big spenders I finally got my return and forms but they came as an I.O.U.................. .....it's only 695 bucks out of 6300 USD paid in........
I doubt I will ever see the money anytime soon, but here's what cap & trade, and free health care + education will do a State that is run by special interests and big spenders.
I have no problems saving the Salt Marsh mouse, providing insurance to anyone who breaks our laws crawling across the borders, then providing them money as a reward and giving their entire family free health insurances and educate any children they manage to have while here, or snuck over in a knapsac.........there's no avoiding this insanity so I can deal with that.
But after providing said services for these folks, and making sure prisoners have their choice of smooth or crunchy peanut butter, and cable TV this is what I get for bending over and taking it deep...$#@%^...???
This is such Bull Puckey it's funny.
These retarded sons of bitches should be held accountable for this treasonous crap.
How can the citizens of the great State of California deal with these morons I'll never comprehend.
These jerks offs couldn't run my Grandaughters Lemonade stand, yet they spend Billions on the most senseless programs.
While the politicians are profiting from foreclosures because they hear about trends months before we do, normal working folks are getting plowed over....................But hey, I think there's a possible increase in the number of new Salt Marsh Mouses and certain species of Fly.
They make the UN look legitimate.

I normally wouldn't even waste my time getting upset, but I thought maybe some of my overseas brethren would enjoy seeing the ridiculous nonsense normal hard working Americans have to deal with.

Oh and while I am whining......I am paying for my own insurance now at a grealty reduced rate which is good, but I gave them a Cashiers Check in person days before the Cobra payment was due, and I had an appointment cancelled because it takes a week to process the payment ...#$%#%^????
If anyone wants to see how well the Government operates a business, here's a good indicator of the insane levels of red tape and senseless crap...........

To think Castro can run a government health care program better than us is so disheartening.
These morons couldn't find a hooker in a whore house.

There's this old movie called "Dave", starred by Kevin Kline, in which he plays a president's lookalike that gets propulsed all the way up to the white house because the president gets a stroke...
At some time of the movie, he needs to get 450 M$ in order to keep an orphan house program open.. He calls a friend of him, who owns a small business, to help him cut costs here and there to find the money, and the guy, totally scared tells him "You know, if I run my company like this, I'd go out of business in a couple of days"

But they're doing a great job of pushing RFID onto cattle farmers who don't need it.

The government is a waste of money. Children should be forced into labor to earn their education and all roads should be toll roads owned by corporations. The police are a tax burden on society so we should fire them and organize volunteer vigilante groups instead. The 40 million people who can't afford insurance should have to sell their homes and live on the street after their money runs out for medical care. They shouldn't even accept people who are dying into a hospital unless they pay with cash up front. That's great Jimmy. Let's have total anarchy because the government can't do anything right. NASA landing on the moon was fake. They did it in a Hollywood studio with special effects.

Hey when a business cannot operate any longer they go into bancruptcy are re organize.
The same should be applied to Government.
To continue taxing it's citizens and businesses is a basic lack of business skills.
Laying off the Police is fine by me.
What else do they do except write and hand out revenue creating tickets.
To Serve & Protect is written on their cars......................
I thought LAPD should at least have the slogan.....We'll treat you like a King............
Yeah Rodney King maybe.................
I actually feel a strange pride knowing the 9th economic power in the world just stiffed me.

they're running the business EXACTLY the way that they intend to, no mistakes....

braincell, we have the right to demand that government not act like criminals. reductio ad absurdum is NOT a proper reasoning technique in this case.

I am glad Obama is good at those Town Hall practice runs though.
Just scaring these insurance companies into compliance is a good thing.
They are the real shake down artists IMHO.
When I was a kid the first paying gig I did was the Community Center, the roadie from the sound company who priveded the PA ripped off my SG Standard ( red like Santana's ) and because I was under 18 and not playing professionally my Pop got a check from his home owners insurance...............
Has anyone here ever recieved a check from thier insurance comapny lately???....Hell no.
They sure accept a check.
Hell at least the Sicilians who started this use to stop by and say Hello....

I'm sorry. I was responding to his remark about health care. Since Reagan, the republicans have been holding us back. We almost got it with Clinton and then they ran all these stupid ads against it. The philosophy that the government can't do anything right has been eroding our country for decades instead of helping people, they just do less and less. As other countries have advanced, we have been going down the toilet.

MANDATORY health care is NOT an advance, and that's what's currently on the table. if that's my choice, i'll do without. death and suffering are inevitable anyway. there's no need for the governemtn to pile extra on...

Yes it is an advance. That is why most developed nations have had it for a long time.

sky rocketing healthcare costs due to mandatory malpractice insurance.

Introducing some Tort reform would reduce health care costs...which will never happen...trial Lawyers have bought the dems...

greed...what program has the government ever given to the "needy" ever worked. It only further enslaves them. I want a smaller, less invasive government....people who work hard to succeed deserve success...and those not willing to work, deserve what they get....and those who do work, deserve not to have it stolen, primarily for the redistribution of wealth, to help those, not willing to work, hence making them (not willing to work) more dependant on the government that will require more money to support those currently depending on it....perpetually helping those not willing to help themselves...so the only solution for them is, more government and more failing social programs that have not nor will ever work.......next.....

again, MANDATORY healthcare is not an advance. it's just totalitarianism. if by "advanced" and "developed" you mean "more oppressive and invasive" or "happily enslaved through drugs and protection rackets", then you might have a point. if that's your point however, i'll just happily regress. i'm not interested in madatory drugs...

howz about a song?
"why don't you mind your own business and then you won't have to be minding mine"

it's a laugh to hear the fools who think that government can "protect" them. at best, government can help clean up the mess afterwards, but it can't protect people. government is not and shouldn't be God.

The problem is not government it is the plague of lawyers that has infested it. a lot of them became politicians and "lawmakers", and their main job is to create more work for their own kind.

there only needs to be about 10% as many of them. they should be retrained to something less of a drain on society, like "welfare bum" or "crazy cat lady" or "tweaker"
