No offense, but if you make it through Boot Camp during the summer at Ft. Benning, or Ft. Leonard Wood, I will be impressed.
I went through jump school and Ranger training when I was 19 and it damn near killed me.
I was quite an athlete from Soccer, and Tae Kwon Do since I was 5.
Let us know how you progress.
Just so you know it is 100% percent humidity and never under 90 degrees. Those nightime swamp marches and daytime hill marches are extreme. 80lb. Rucksacks make your back muscles burn like fire.
If you succeed, you will be a mean, lean fighting machine.
My son told me at Kelly Hill Rec center his Mother and My names are still on the big tree by the pool........you'll see JAV SLS with a big arrow and heart carving.. :D
Good Luck, with any luck you'll get a logistics assignment due to your experience with personal computing.

Thanks Jimmy, I would never have guessed you where in the military. :-)
I can make it. I have high pain tolerance and I've been running for a couple of months now.
If they let me, I'll go for the Airborne school too.
I'll be at Fort Benning.

Here's one of our hero's from Benning.
You should buy the book and read it.

Joe Galloway from Texas is the perfect example of a brave combat journalist, he too was a hero.

good luck man! Hope your government doesn't start any new wars anytime soon. And if you do get sent to Iraq or Afghanistan, try and come back in one piece!

More people die in the USA everyday from Guns than our soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan.
I would be nervous if Korea was the destination.
Too many Napoleans in the same neighborhood....and believe it or not, Japan is actually the sleeping Giant this time. Their Pilots have been flying FY-22 Raptors over here for years now. I live right by Nellis Air Base, 60 miles from AREA 51, and 40 miles from the Mercury test site.
Local news never gets reported nationally until somebody's running for office, and you guys would be shocked to see how many war games with European and Japanese, Taiwanese and S.Korean pilots we can see in the skys at night.
While our politicians make speeches and appear to disagree with other European leaders for the sake of the public, in private they have been waging war together for decades in the skys and deserts of Nevada........so see, we really are still partners in crime..

N.Korea...Kim Jung Ill and his Kim Jung Ilk....he is a dangerous man...

H.R. Geiger won awards for creating monsters like that for Sci Fi films.

And what is with his haircut? He looks like a Chia Pet...that must make him a "Chia Dictator"

He is a mooch and a beggar.
He starves his people so someday he could have a seat at the big Poker game.
Denying him that seat only causes him to do his Chihuahua impersonation.
He is incapable of finding his own food, just like the Chihuahua, and he bites the ankles just like the Chihuahua, his endless high pitched barking is only a constant source of irratation.
But he could cause major grief for the civilians of Seoul just like the raping troops his father sent there 58 years ago. But I still believe the reason they never found radioactive particles in the atmosphere is because he's bluffing. If he had fissable material he wouldn't waste it on an underground test. He would have done it above ground as a continued act of defiancy.
IMHO he is dangerous, but no sweat in a show of force.
Right now he is just trying to get us to fill his empty bowl with more rice.
A prideless pygmy.
He knows our liberal Congress wants to save the world from green house gases, and has no stomach for a long campaign.
Trust me our military leaders would love to unleash their long, thought out plans on that little pip squeak.
The Japanese are chomping at the bit too. He has committed so many acts of terrorism on Japan's civilians, and out of old guilty feelings and USA pressure, they have remained silent.
His people are scared and obey out of fear. Taking him out along with the upper elite NKoreans would solve this issue.
Either that or the S.Koreans could have a 300 mile long Bar-B-Que all along the 53rd Parallel and cause massive defections.

We could squash him like a grape, threaten nuclear assault...we could bomb him back even further into the stoneage, just like the inflamed boil on the buttox of the world he is..cut the food, oil & aid the world sends...he is DONE! A bankrupt country with no way out...but blackmail game over

It is the roach that continually drags down the people that deserve better...I know you know this...if he is to threaten Japanese, South Korean, the Phillipines. and the US...wait...don't you live on the west coast???? The regime really should perish...

You mean to tell me, you want these innocent people to endure more of what they have?

Kim Jung Ill is not the way to achieve this..bleeding heart libs could do more in saving the N. Koreans....Oh yeah...Lisa Ling's sister..is Al Gore gonna be the one to rescue them? I THINK NOT! Lies from the left, plunging this country into socialism...yeah, that has worked just great in Europe, the left just lost big time there....I know all about the the new world order...

F$#k or fight..I'm tired of having my money stolen, taxes raised, all for the progress of redistributing wealth!? What wealth...I don't have any! The dems keep stealing it! A tax on low fat milk putting sugar into it so it would taste better? THEY wanted...but now they want to tax it? Gary, I'm sure we see eye to eye on many things this government ruins perpetually......N. Korea should not be one of them....

Dems suck...Repubs blow....just stop stealing money from me for the wrong reasons, and try to save the ones that need saving ...not the ones that feel they are entitled of saving...

best wishes GaryB :)

GaryB's more worried about his local politicians and big energy lobbyists than that little mooch from NKorea...........
Rightfully So Too.
Someday when Washington shrinks, and Police can go earn their money like our brave firemen do, instead of tasing elderly speeders......we can make our decisions for ourselves.
Nanny states create more helpless people that will surely vote the way you want because of the freebie money and jobs. Let's face it. Would you ever hire one of these airport employees if you owned a small business..? Hell No. They are umemployable, perfect nanny state workers.
I have never got a speeding ticket or even been pulled over by a cop in Nevada and I have lived here since 1985.....
I rarely go to So. California, but I have never seen so many police in my life, and out of the last 6 or 7 trips there I have been approached by the Police once, and pulled over by a motorcycle cop who was going at least 90 miles an hour as he pulled right up on my ass.
Those guys do not sevre and protect, they are revenue creators.
I love Calfornia and hope someday the common working folks who obey and play by the rules take it back from these progressive mishandlers of money.

I actually feel sorry for the people of N.Korea. But Bingo might be able to smuggle a scope card to those poor bastards so they too could enjoy something other than saying their prayers to a life sized statue of Kim, which is only 39 inches anyways.

The modern local, state and federal governments don't want any individual helping themselves...that would precude them, from being the ones helping the people, then they (the people they are trying to help) grow dependant on...the government..so that the people they are trying to help, don't want to work for themselves, through hard work, discipline, duty, respect, and loyalty and honor. Things more people I feel are missing. Work hare for what you want. Don't depend on anyone or any government to provide it for you. Words and a lifestyle often forgotten by the libs....Jimmy....my brotha'
