The Warrior Has Returned

Post by dawman »

Anyone live in Boston?
I would have borrowed the money to fly there but just found out.
I would love to see if this uses the old CEM's and internal wiring.
When I first joined the Z I was asking for Oberheim emu's and hardly anyone here knew what I was speaking about.
Chris Werner did a pretty cool patch for Modular but there really aren't any synths that do this sound outside of JBowens synths using CEM Oscillators and Filters.
But the old FAT BASTARD has returned.
I love the Alfred Hitchcock profile too..... :D

It'll be a while I am sure.
But these will be pretty pricey if he wants to keep the Oberheim reputation going.
If he incorporates 3 Oscillators instead of the old 2 Multi's I might have to pimp another cackling Hen group. They are a large source of irratation but from doing a disco/hip-hop one a couple years ago using the same unemployed choreographer I could make some good coin.
All I would have to do is buy a Roland MV30 and an Allen & Heath 16 Channel ZED.
I really like the pain free life of just being a keyboard player now.
It's so pressure free, and peaceful.
Just all guys who jam and never cry about more reverb on their voice, " I can't hear my vocals ", " why is she louder than me ? " ,.etc., etc.
You'd like the drummer I am playing with. Just a well tuned Sonar kit. He can groove, he can slam, and he's got chops like Buddy Rich on the snare...a rare plesaure in a world of Roland jive kits.

We'll get some information from the clinic on how much and when.
Knowing the man behind the build, it will probably be just the meat & potatoes.

I'd go for a few if they were priced right..just to have another true analog machine...I might even try to do a 4 voice! 3 OSCs would give me a woody too!

I'm a firm believer in that drums were meant to be hit and don't be a wuss about it. I use a pretty large arc in my attack, but mix it with a lot of flexibility, it's all in the wrist and fingers...not the arm...but a good swing can be spotted a mile away!
I studied the Haskell Harr. Marched in Drum & Bugle Corp. Forgot most of what I learned in reading music...that never stopped guys like Liberty Devito, and it hasn't stopped me..I got to tour most the world in my mid 20's! When the studio is done, I'll make a youtube of a Tisdale tune...just to show ya I can really play  I know you know I can

Try to get us a sample of what kind of material you guys are doin'. Are you gonna record any shows?

Just waitng for VDAT.......
Because of using the ASIO 2 drivers for Bidule, I cannot use Reaper or SpuBase.
VDAT sounds better and it's a peice of cake for live recording.
I recorded nightly with the old group and it came out decent enough for a live demo.
But in Nevada I know the people who hire and don't really need to audition.
That's why I am hiding in a biker bar until I go 64bit and have my rig updatred and tested.
With Scope and a decent build for the streamers once the rig is built it turns into a racked up ATM Machine...................ankyuvarymush.
