Hello everybody,
i own a Mac g3 450 mhz ,384 mo ram, pulsar 2

i would like to mix everything(pulsar synths and hardware synths/drummachines)into logic audio platinum 4.7 ,it works but i can't apply inserts(eq,compressors...) to the inputs.

I managed to do this in vst/32 (inserts worked) but there is a big latency between my hardware synths and vst instruments, and changing the midi to audio settings helped but timing it's not perfect.

So i tried logic and it runs perfectly but i can't apply any eq or compressor to the inputs,i can select them but they have no effect,by the way they works on imported audio files.( i din't try the sends effects yet though)
What's wrong?
please don't tell me that i have to mix everything in the bigmixer because it has plenty of bugs(mostly phase problems ).
cheers

Create a new audio object in the environment, select the asio channel or channels for stereo, and apply the effects to your track in real time (you'll have the latency equals the ULLI setting).

The other way around is true also! In Pulsar, find the channel you want to apply a VST effect on, in Logic create a new audio object, then it will be just in between pulsar and logic, just like and inline insert.

That is strange indeed. I do the same thing on a Mac G4 and there is no problem here.

Have you installed the Reason demo? Cause i know all kind of strange things happened when you installed it. My buses stopped working.
So if you have, uninstall it.

BTW are you using the "audio input object" in Logic ?

Well, i assume that my problem relies into this "new audio object" because both of mention that i have to create one, and as i'm new on logic i just opened the audio mixer and record enabled the traks (after having created a pulsar project with all the asio dest i needed).
temporarely i just created a project with multiple asio source and asio dest and routed each logic input channel to a different output and this way the inserts worked on each output but i've "lost" the sends effects of course.
thank you very much.
i'll read the manual of logic for the 5th time(although i really can't find a section were it's explained how to apply effects and inserts to an audio input)
i'll have to affirm that for this VST is much easier.
by the way i have an original version of reason could it be a problem too?
cheers

No,no, it's not caused by reason.

Really, keep your logic setting as-is, but in the audio mixer, create a new audio object without connecting it to nothing, leave it floting free, somewhere, now set the input and output asio channels, then put some effects in.

You could create new asio channels in pulsar, and connect aux out to asio in, and asio out to aux return, then you'll have your AUX channels in pulsar going thru Logic in some audio objects. Now put an effect in these, and you'll have VST effects directly in your pulsar mixer's AUX.
