Post by SonicTransportSystem »

Hi planet Z!

Its sad but its true...my luna board from the year 2000 its damaged..a lot of strange hardware crashes and 2 months of tests to my computer said that the problem was that precious electronic device!

Can that happen? Now im going to use a cubase system 2 usb souncard for the final test, if the problem dissapear was luna the problem!

Olá Pedro!

Neutron's advice is important - cleaning the contacts can solve many weird problems that come up.

However, all metaphysics aside, I'm afraid it is possible that a Scope card "dies"... I've lost a Scope Professional last year, it crashed my PC in the middle of a session, and after that it wasn't recognized by the system anymore :(

If you find that the problem lies with the Luna, you can always send it to Sonic Core for a test. Just contact them, and they'll guide you through the process. Mind you, there is a fee for "hardwarecheck", so be prepared to spend some €€ (postage to and from Germany, testing and repairing)...

I hope you get it working!

Cheers,

Did you send your Scope Professional for testing and fix?

Yes, I thought it was worth a shot, but it seems that it wasn't fixable... But I still had to pay for testing and shipping, which was about 50 EUR.
