Re: the truth
if 100% of Athiests believe in god while watching team sports then 50% of them will turn out to be right no matter if their team wins or loses

all are beggars, but not all will get their way, which will make 50% of them even louder naysayers.

Re: the truth

Now my question is, are pirates atheists, and if so, do they believe in god?

A few years ago I used to think I was an Atheist, but that was before I knew what the word meant.
... There should be a new ism or something for fence sitters like me that are happy to neither be a believer or disbeliever. Let everyone believe exactly what they want I say, since it probably brings universal balance anyway.

Re: the truth
well, they often call that "agnostic", but i don't think that covers those who believe in God, but not any of the religions that claim to represent....Shroomz~> wrote:A few years ago I used to think I was an Atheist, but that was before I knew what the word meant.... you just can't resist trying to convert people over to your religion, huh?stardust wrote:Believing in universal balance .... ?Shroomz~> wrote:A few years ago I used to think I was an Atheist, but that was before I knew what the word meant.... What like the delightful evangelist Graham? Since 1939, he's preached to nearly 215 million people across more than 185 countries (mostly at his famous stadium sermons), trained & tutored over 100,000 ministers, has been preaching at White House services since FDR was president & has undeniably led hundreds of thousands, if not millions of individuals to make personal decisions to live for Christ.garyb wrote:you just can't resist trying to convert people over to your religion, huh?
I give you Billy Graham, lifelong preacher, lifelong dedication in the master art of brainwashing.
Re: the truth
yes, but stardust's pressure is personal(so i think....), Billy works for the syndicate directly.
Re: the truth

As long as all of us have Politicians who have never had any business experience, making business decisions with our tax dollars, we are all the same.
For years my God was the 100 Dollar bill,............I guess I didn't pray enough.

There`s no truth but your own.
"Heaven is there where hell is and heaven is not on earth!"
Re: the truth
yeah, yeah. "do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law." which is just the other side of the coin which has another side that says "give yourself to a higher power within." these are good cults for those who need an excuse to be their worst and relieve themselves of the responsibility. ahh, youth.
and then there is: where's your reality when the rock hits you in the head? when the cancer riddles your body, when your team loses?
