Using xtc mode (basic). thanks
Using xtc mode (basic). thanks
Hi,
I have a scope 15dsp pci card (with the ADAT inteface) and i would like to get your help for using it.
I have failed to get it to work the way i wanted with the manual.
I also have another audio interface for recording with digital and analog ins\outs which works with ASIO.
I understand there are two modes to get the scope it to work:
1. regular mode
2. xtc mode
both modes only works for me when i use the scope asio driver (when i do that i cant use my second card).
I only want to use the scope card for its plugins and no for recording. what can i do to get them both to work?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Using xtc mode (basic). thanks
put it in an external box - connect via Midi and Adat (I hope the other card has some...)
A Pentium 3 with Win98 is all that's needed, you can run it from compact flash.
cheers, Tom

Thank for the quick replay.
Are you sure thats the only way? there is no way around?
BDW i have adat in both of them but i have never used it.
Does a normal optical cable link them properly or do i need a special cable for it?
Thanks again.

Re: Using xtc mode (basic). thanks
I am afraid not.You cant use more then 1 asio driver on a pc.A second pc for scope is ime a good solution,i am having a second pc for 3 cards and connected via adat/midi.

If you want to connect 2 cards in and out you just need 2 standart optical cables for 8 channel i/o or 4 cables for 16 channel i/o.
You need to define the Master device.Set scope to slave and the other card to master(wordclock).Thats all you need to do and you are running.

Re: Using xtc mode (basic). thanks
No problem! I never tried this myself, as when I first read this, I had already set up a 2nd DAW for Scope. But if it does work, then it should be the "missing link" for XTC and 3rd party audiocards. If you find it works properly... spread the wordFluxpod wrote:Wow ok!
