Hi! I want to use the 24 track stm mixer, for monitoring/recording. I started out using the 1632 mixer, which is fine but doesnt have enough auxe's ( i want to have at least 3 different monitor mixes, and a reverb send would be nice as well)
I have all incoming signals (16 channels) into the mixers inputs.
I cant use the dedicated monitor mix bus on the mixer, because there is only one! not 3! So i am using aux'es instead.
The problem is that i want to use the talkback feature to send to the the aux ( the talkback out is "hardwired" to the monitor out, as stated in the manual.) any suggestions??
And by the way. do the auxes have correct stereofield, even in pre mode? i want to do a monitor mix with pan settings sent out into the monitors.. not mono. So are the aux pre, pre fader, but after pan?
...man scope rules!! having been using the AWS 900+ SSL mixing desk at school for a while, makes me realize what i have here in scope at home! pretty much everything!
thanks!

Re: monitor mix?
i don't even use the talkback feature. i just put my talkback mic into a channel and then disable the send to mix(green button at the bottom of the channel strip). then i can send to the monitor or aux.
