Is this technically right?

Post by anap25 »

I managed to run Scope at 48khz but i am running my host at 96Khz. I found that some of my VST plugins are sounding a bit better then on 48khz but this is not my main question and please do not go in that direction. (While at the same time 48 khz is just fine for scope synths since they are sounding really top notch)

I have A16 Ultra AD/DA converter which is clocked at 48 KHZ just like whole Scope system. Few external instruments are routed to converter then to Host via soundcard. Is this technically OK thing to do since my host is at 96khz?

Am i loosing something that way? I mean will i get in some phase errors? Out of tune (mastertune)errors or something?

I hope it is okay. That way (i hope) i can use all of my AD/DA inputs, i have room for other synths in scope since it is 48khz and i still enjoy on mixing at 96khz in my host..

So far i am not experiencing any problems but i would like to have input from other scope users..
