I use the analog input and output of my pulsar 1.
Together with cubase as harddiskrecorder.

Now i have this quality degradation.
When i play my synth the sound is good.
When i playback the audiotrack from cubase it doesn't sound the same. the quality is less. (audio sounds thinner)
i use 16 bit asio and 16bit in cubase [48khz]. (no eq. etc)

Will the problem be solved when i use a adat converter?

The reason I stopped using VST was that I compared a recorded instrument (.WAV file) playing in the Cubase Audio engine with one played directly out of Sound Forge. The difference is embarassing for Steinberg to say the least.

But yes, having less AD/DA conversion will give you a much cleaner sound, as will using a program like Samplitude for your multitracking (Logic is also better).
