I have 12 hours to get this fixed.
Last night I shut down the DAW's and as usual take home the VDAT DAW to listen to our live recordings, and make adjustments and play with new toys.
My usual day starts off by waking up and turnming on my DAW...............NO GO?
I have to wait for the warehouse manager to come into town this afternoon and buy another PSU.
But could there possibly be a fuse maybe, or some other explanation of the sudden death of my DAW. I thought the switch maybe, but that seems very unlikely.
I have had several PSU's and never one failure until I upped my wattage to 620 w/ this Corasir. I have used the older OCZ models as they had the ability to up the voltages on seperate rails for heavy Overclockers.
Thought I would go for more wattage w/ the Corasir 620. I will go w/ the OCZ's again as they never failed. When I upgrade I should buy new stuff as a spare and quit giving them to my son. The PSU I used for 3 years has been left on overnight many many times and has gone on strong for 4 years running !!! This overpriced over watted peice of shit lasted one year only. It's so called safe software to that alerts you to any issues and predictable failures is a sad joke indeed. I shall return to OCZ, and hope to God the warehouse IT guy has one.
Any experiences w/ PSU failures by fellow members?

Anyway, if you just moved the DAW, it's also possible that some cables came off inside, or something isn't seated right... Have you made an inspection inside the case? And also, does the electric socket have power? Is the mains cable properly connected? Basic stuff, but sometimes overlooked.
Wish you the best of luck on sorting it out!

Re: PSU Help Needed
This PSU thankfully dogged out at power down last night. Using a sequenced powered shut down I was able to avoid a catastrophe. My Surge-X might have saved me afterall. This particular PSU made by Corasir allows a high output of watts, but sadly the parts used were not capable of the sustained abuse I put DAW's through.
My Scope cards are built in Germany, and built as well as a BMW, Porsche, etc. My PSU now that it has been dismantled shows leakage from capacitors, and was made in China.
That sums it up for me. Outsourced engineered products to Malaysia, China, Timbuktu will surely Fuck You.
I am fortunate enough to have an OCZ ModStream 520 watt PSU to replace this cheap peice of shit. This has cost me a rush status repair charge, parts plus labor, for a total of 325 USD.

This site has loads of information on the actual insides of the unit they review. For example, Teapo, and Hitachi Caps, etc. I won't buy anymore of this outsourced junk ever again.
Anyone know of a good German made PSU ?
My cards have outlived my HDD's, and PSU's............that's definately a really " Sore Dick Deal ".
Holger and the boys can take all the time they need to build this gem we will soon see. I have been proven to over and over that quality is the key to sucess, not price or early release dates.
