Roland Juno G

Post by dawman »

Anyone ever demo or use the Audio/MIDI sequencer in the Roland Juno G?
All reviews I have read do not explain the memory allocation of the Audio Tracks, only that it chews up polyphony.
This seems perfect for a person seeking the MC500-MKII hardware sequencer stability, and the added Audio tracks ( 4 ) makes it a great onstage solution. I am hoping that the 1GB cards, and onboard PC133 RAM ( 512MB ) allow instant loads of MIDI and Audio tracks for live use.
Actually it is the only hardware Audio/MIDI sequencer w/ a Keyboard I can find. Ebay has several mostly 700-800 USD shipped.
Seems perfect for gigs.

You should check out the new "stage" version. I think the audio track function on the G is limited (does it really work?).

I can't find if it supports the latest MIDI specs. like the MIDI CC # 88 prefix.
A Kareoke Keyboard...........looks great for the new and upcoming crop of MIDI File players.

Why not..........we have fake world leaders and teleprompters, this is the future.

I'm calling GaryB, the hell w/ Solaris and XITE-1. I'm getting my money back.

BTW MB4 II loves the VDAT playback and recording chores I have assigned to it.
It's the only Scope mixer that makes this a breeze. Even the way the cables look connected, as if you knew it would be used for double duty.

A very nice device. Perfect for live jive.
